Rhythm is generated by the placement and arrangement of certain points on a time axis, which are then perceived by the human mind. If so, perhaps one could also create rhythm out of the spatial arrangement of artwork in the exhibition spaces, which has been installed for visitors to perceive.

This is my new musical endeavor: to extend the concept of rhythm from the temporal to the spatial. This solo exhibition continues where the last – “compositions: spaces, time and architecture” at the Aomori Contemporary Art Center – left off, and is composed of new artwork created specifically for exhibition in Spiral.
