Shuta Hasunuma's solo project, which has been released as digital singles since September 2022, will be released as the album "unpeople." This album is music that he has been creating "purely for himself."
Participating guests include guitarist Jeff Parker, known for his releases on International Anthem and Nonsuch Records, Cornelius' Keigo Oyamada, who also performs with Hasunuma in live shows, Keiji Haino, who continues to collaborate with Hasunuma on an irregular basis, New York-based drummer Greg Fox, KOM_I, Okinawa-based Arakaki Mutsumi, guitarist Shuta Ishizuka of the Hasunuma Shuta Philharmonic, and Otonashi Fumiaki, who plays the Japanese sho.
The soundwork, which incorporates techno, ambient, jazz, post-classical, and even contemporary music, is an album that creates a free and airy sound, just like Shuta Hasunuma's own wide-ranging activities.
