This is Shuta Hasunuma. Thank you for the 6th episode of "wind and windows."
This time we have a triple feature!
・"Home recording scene"
・"Today's People" - Meet people you want to meet in Kyoto
・"Outdoor Radio at Field Recording Workshop"
And "Sound Map Kyoto," which allows you to experience the ambient sounds of Kyoto, was created by Shiko, a Nishijin textile factory!
I've recorded radio shows from various locations, including my home, Kyoto, and Roppongi. My concept is to record as soon as possible, so I've started to carry a recorder with me at all times.
"Home recording scene"
In the last recording session at home, he was creating music for a four-sided video piece for the Design Ah neo exhibition " Disband, Gather! " It seems that this recording was surprisingly well-received (though to him it's just a normal scene, so I'm wondering what's so interesting about it...), so this time he recorded himself actually creating a new song. We delivered in the rain at 10am, checking out fragments of melodies for the new album he's been working on piece by piece. It seems that he's been experimenting by deliberately layering electronic sounds on melodic songs using a synthesizer called SERGE.

"Today's Person" - Meet people you want to meet in Kyoto
I had a chat with Mano Haruka of the fermentation room Yohaku . I was introduced to him by Mizusako Ryota, a graphic designer from our program Wind and Windows. Ryo also came to the recording. Thank you! Mano is a chef who entered the world of fermentation through sake and has created his own space, "Yohaku." I listened to his story while feeling the overflowing power of his creativity. This time I wasn't able to take my time to visit "Yohaku," so next time I'll take my time.

"Outdoor Radio at Field Recording Workshop"
We have brought you a report on the environmental sound workshop " A Workshop to Explore the Sounds of Greenery with Shuta Hasunuma, " which was held at Tokyo Midtown in Roppongi this past Golden Week. The workshop was held outdoors in the spring air and focused on the theme of environmental sounds. We began with a lecture, followed by a "blind walk," in which participants walked blindfolded. At the end, we handed out recorders and asked participants to record their favorite sounds. It felt like after opening up their senses through the lecture and blind walk, they were able to reconnect with the environment and its sounds. We have brought you a report on the workshop!

"Sound Map Kyoto"
I visited Shiko, a Nishijin textile factory. I recorded while listening to the sounds of machinery. On the top floor of the factory, there was a craftsman in his 20s weaving on a handloom, and on the ground floor, there was a cool-looking machine where a craftsman in his 80s was working. I was also able to see the power loom and record. Thank you very much!

As you can hear, this program is an alternative program. We will create the program together with you. We are looking for win-win supporters!

Listeners are the supporters of "wind and windows"! We are looking for "win-win supporters" to support the program. You can choose from anything you like, from your own ambient sounds, to the program's special original bathhouse hand towels and special original cases for "Daranisukegan," a traditional Chinese medicine from the Yoshino region of Nara that is rumored to be secretly popular in Kyoto, to the program's original theme and jingle sound sources, and off-topic sound sources.
The broadcast will start on Sunday, June 15th at 11pm. Where will the next episode be? Stay tuned!
