#02 2025.04.13.

This is Shuta Hasunuma. This was the second episode of "wind and windows"! The content was aggressive from the start.

The second time was like this.

・"Home recording scene"

・"Today's Person": Met up with someone I wanted to meet in Kyoto

・"Outdoor Radio - Concert with Children"

And "Sound Map Kyoto" was the Kamogawa Delta!

"Home recording scene"

I recorded myself working at home in the morning. My voice was quite nasal lol. I think this is an unprecedented segment, but it's interesting. The song is gradually being created. The person creating it can't see the big picture, so this is how music is made. I work with the window open, so I can hear the birds more than I expected, and it feels like the birds are making the music with me. There was even a moment when a crow chirped along. Interesting.

This song will be available to listen to as part of the exhibition starting on April 18th. If you're a fan, be sure to check it out!

"Today's Person" - Met up with someone I wanted to meet in Kyoto

The first person I wanted to meet in Kyoto was designer Mizusako Ryota, and from now on I'll be calling him "Ryo-chan." When I arrived in Kyoto to work on creating a radio program, I contacted him on the spot and invited him to Alpha Station. Although he's a designer, he's involved in a wide range of activities. I hope we can work together on a larger scale, not just the graphics aspect of this program, "windandwindows." Due to time constraints, I had to edit a lot of what we talked about, so I'd like to share the content of this talk in a winwin supporter off-chat! Details below.

"Outdoor Radio - Concert with Children"

This is a report from the live session "Ren'on ~ Led by Sound" held at the event "DTC CREATIVE SESSION 2025" held at Daikanyama Teens Creative on March 23rd. At this live session, I performed a session with Kanta Mashima, a first-year high school student, and Ginji Takahashi, a sixth-grader. Before the session, I wrote the following:

Each sound connects. This is the kind of session that will unfold. Unlike an ensemble, there's no need to harmonize. Simply playing each individual sound will connect to the future. Four years ago, Kanta Mashima (currently a first-year high school student) and Ginji Takahashi (currently a sixth-year elementary school student) participated in the session "A Light that Illuminates the Future" by OLAibi and KOM_I. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this collaboration was held via video streaming without an audience. The collaboration continues uninterrupted. As sounds repeatedly appear and disappear, the story of this session, "Ren-on," continues, as if carried along by the sounds. I believe this will be a concert created by the performance of Kanta, Ginji, and myself, together with the audience who come to listen. I hope you will join us.

Four years have passed since my session with Oraibi-san and Com, and thanks to the help of Oka Marie of Daikanyama Teens Creative, who chose me as her partner to make music with again, we were able to work together again this time. The act of making music together is an invaluable experience in life, and something I cherish very much. I am truly happy that I was able to have this opportunity with Kan-chan and Gin-chan. It has even made me decide to form a band! And it's not going away anytime soon...!

For "Sound Map Kyoto," I went to the Kamogawa Delta. I was recording ambient sounds in a light rain as the day gradually cleared up. The sound of the river is the main focus, but the surrounding sounds include people, buses and other traffic, and birds. The sound image gave me the feeling that I was saying hello to Kyoto.

As you can hear, this program is an alternative program. We will create the program together with you. We are looking for win-win supporters !

Listeners are the supporters of "wind and windows"! We are looking for "win-win supporters" to support the program. You can choose from anything you like, from your own ambient sounds, to the program's special original bathhouse hand towels and special original cases for "Daranisukegan," a traditional Chinese medicine from the Yoshino region of Nara that is rumored to be secretly popular in Kyoto, to the program's original theme and jingle sound sources, and off-topic sound sources.

I heard about Daranisukegan from Kyoto designer Ryota Mizusako, and after actually purchasing and using it, I felt so much better. I highly recommend it!

So, the next broadcast will be on Sunday, April 20th from 11pm. Where will we be broadcasting from next time? Stay tuned!
