The same microphone was used both day and night in Ginza, a district whose appearance changes with the time of day. The microphone exhibited under the stairs is the same one used for this project. By rolling the microphone around, the artist interacts with the city and people, and the microphone picks up sounds like percussion instruments on the road. The work was exhibited on the stairs of the Shiseido Gallery, reminiscent of walking up and down the subway stairs in Ginza.
